BOOK VOYAGERS
Book Voyagers is a literature discussion program for children ages 6 to 14 that uses book circles led by gifted teachers, children's literature experts, and storytellers to explore important life themes using award-winning children's literature. Our catalog includes 18 series, some for children on their own and others for children and parents, grandparents or caregivers. Book Voyagers is ideal for a variety of educational settings such as:
A typical Book Voyagers program consists of four hour-long sessions organized around a common theme or genre. Families read and discuss readings before joining in a group discussion led by a children's literature expert. The Humanities Council offers cost sharing grants to offset program costs to our partners and supplies all of the basic components needed to run a successful program including:
