This series starts off with Sharon O’Brien’s biography examines the early influences on this great American author whose live spanned the late 19th and early 20th century. Three of her novels will then be read: O Pioneers, considered to be the novel that gave her name recognition: Song of the Lark which chronicles the artist’s growth and development in the guise of an opera singer; and My Antonia, perhaps her most famous novel.
